About this deal

She has a go at dog-walking, but things get a little bit out of hand. And when ‘things getting out of hand’ include the dogs’ leads, that’s not good for business. Maybe something that keeps still would be easier. Something like making and selling enchanted charm bracelets! The time has come for a fairy celebration, and Mirabelle's dad has told her she must be on her best behaviour. But Mirabelle knows things will be so much more fun if she can do just a little bit of witchy magic. Will Mirabelle be able to stay out of mischief? Not likely! Harriet Muncaster is a British author and illustrator known for her enchanting and whimsical children's books. She was born in 1986 and grew up in a small village in Hertfordshire, England. From a young age, Harriet had a passion for drawing and writing stories, and she was inspired by fairy tales and folklore.

Fun fact: when Harriet was at university in 2010, she created a picture book for her final project all about Victoria Stitch. She recreated a new version of that original picture book as a bonus at the end of Victoria Stitch: Free and Famous! Will Mirabelle’s family believe that Mirabelle is (mostly) innocent this time or is it just a case of double the trouble? Mirabelle Starspell is Isadora’s magical cousin! Her mum is a witch and her dad is a fairy, and Mirabelle is a bit of both. Mirabelle stars in her very own adventures, perfect for children who like their magic with a bit of mischief. But when she accidentally lets the bittens (part bat, part kitten, totally adorable, slightly fierce) out of their enclosure, their day becomes a bit more complicated.

Since then, Harriet has written and illustrated numerous picture books, including Happy Halloween, Witch's Cat!, The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Isadora Moon, a series about a half-vampire, half-fairy girl. Her books are known for their intricate and detailed illustrations, which transport readers to enchanted worlds filled with whimsy and wonder. Fun fact: this is the first time we meet the mermaid Emerald, who has gone on to have her own spin-off series! This book also features a return of the mermaids Marina and Princess Delphina! Fun fact: This is one of Harriet Muncaster’s personal favourite Isadora Moon books. Why? Because Isadora, Mirabelle and Honeyblossom shrink to miniature size! Can you remember any other times Mirabelle has used a shrinking potion? Meet Isadora Moon’s magical and mischievous cousin- Mirabelle! Mirabelle by Harriet Muncaster is an enchanting series of children's books that follow the adventures of a mischievous little witch and her magical feline companion. The series is perfect for young readers who love stories about magic, friendship, and fun. With lovable characters, charming illustrations, and plenty of humour, these books are sure to delight both children and parents alike. Whether you're just starting the series or you've already fallen in love with Mirabelle and her world, these books are a must-read for anyone who enjoys a good story. When Isadora’s cousin, Mirabelle, comes to stay, Isadora is really excited. Mirabelle, who is a witch, is older than Isadora and always has the best ideas for things to do. So when she suggests that instead of taking Pink Rabbit Isadora should take a dragon to ‘Bring Your Pet to School Day’, Isadora ignores her worries and goes along with the plan. But looking after a dragon turns out to be a little bit harder than the pair of them expect . . .

Popular Isadora Moon and Mirabelle Books

Isadora Moon is special because she’s different. Half vampire, half fairy, she’s totally unique! Her mum is a fairy and her dad is a vampire and she is a bit of both. She is proud to be different, but with parents like hers, everyday activities don’t always go to plan!
